With a heart of thanksgiving, I will bless thee, O Lord.
With my hands lifted up, and my mouth filled with praise.
With a heart of thanksgiving, I will bless thee, O Lord."
At times, it is so easy to get caught up in the woes and perils of life, setbacks and the darkness of this world that surrounds me. But . . . God. He is my ever present help. He is my Good Shepherd. He is my High Tower. He is my rest, my peace, my strength, my healer, my steady rock in the storms of life.
As I look at His wonderous works - the birds of the air, the flowers in the field, the bugs crawling on this earth, the changing leaves, my cat curled up next to me as I write this post, my dog nestled at my feet, the faces of my nephews and nieces, the smiles of students I work with - I can only say, "Thank you." Thank you for letting me see all you that you are. Thank you for letting me see your hand move mightily in my life and in the lives of family and friends. Thank you for all of your bountiful gifts. Thank you for the gift of your Son and for the promise of abundant life. Thank you for the opportunity to share your love with others. Thank you for the wisdom and knowledge you've given me to meet the needs of so many wonderful children. Thank you for opportunities and relationships both personally and professionally that I could never have imagined would be possible.
