I've heard friends tell of this place where the culture is quite different and the scenery is magnificent. This past March I had the great fortune to visit the fascinating city of New Orleans and can truly say that what I've heard about this city does not come close to the experience of being there. There were such great details to be seen along every road, within every building and within every face as we explored the streets of New Orleans - the beautiful old buildings, the mix of fortune tellers sitting beneath the shadow of old churches and high steeples, the fine details of handmade workmanship on the buildings and within the artwork around the city, the trolley cars heading down Canal Street, and the sites, smells and sounds of Bourbon Street after dark (quite an experience). Such a beautiful city and one I hope to visit again soon. |
